Abstract

Topics on proliferation teritorrial, decentralisation and the roles of Regional Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Daerah) are still interesting to discuss. As we know, Central Government has policy to moratorium a proliferation teritorrialbut proposals of forming a new authonomy are still proposed by regional government. Sometimes it delivered through Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD). Nowadays, there are 173 proposal that accepted by DPD. We admitted that proliferation teritorrial as an implentation of decentralisation principle but honestly, DPD has no authority to decide on that matters. DPD has only 2 authority that relating to legislation process i.e., proposed a legislation and supervised it. This paper as a result of general lecture on the theme of “Involvement of DPD in proliferation teritorrial processin Indonesia” that held by faculty of Sosial and Political Science of Christian University of Palangka Raya. The intention of this artcle are firstly, to reconstruct of proliferation teritorrial in Indonesia and it’s dynamics and secondly, to describe the involvement of DPD in legislation process of proliferation territorial
