Innovation, Quality Public Services Create Good Governance

Abstract

Legally-formally, regulations regarding public services have been stipulated in various laws, including Law no. 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services, Law no. 23/2014 on Regional Government, as well as several Government Regulations as derivatives of the Public Service Law and the Regional Government Law. However, it is very unfortunate, because in reality the quality of public services performed by service provider organizations is still far from satisfactory. For this reason, a number of efforts are needed to encourage public service innovation through changes in mindset and cultural tools, optimization of one-stop integrated services, and partnership between local governments and the private sector
