The role of the Dayak Youth Forum (FORDAYAK) in the Social and Cultural Sector in Palangka Raya City

Abstract

This research is located in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of FORDAYAK in the Social and Cultural Sector in Palangka Raya City and the factors that support it. The findings in the study indicate that the role of the Dayak Youth Forum (FORDAYAK) in the Socio-Cultural Sector in Palangka Raya City is going well. This is based on facts on the ground which show that FORDAYAK carries out activities in the social sector in the form of the Covid-19 Handling Command Post, Distribution of Social Assistance to Citizens, Supporting PPKM Policies by the Government, and Collaborating with PT.HPL. Then in the field of culture, carry out activities that can raise the potential of UMKM and hold FORDAYAK Goes to Campus activities which aim to introduce the culture of Central Kalimantan to young people. In its role, FORDAYAK has supporting factors, namely Independent Funding, Member Solidarity and support from the government
